Nadia Gill | Director, Producer

Nadia Gill is an award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Encompass Films, known for crafting visually rich, socially resonant documentaries that explore the environment, American identity, and ideological complexity. Her work has been featured by Netflix, the Los Angeles Times, and the Redford Center, and supported by brands such as Red Bull, Black Diamond, and REI. Nadia co-directed Planetwalker, a critically acclaimed documentary shortlisted for the Academy Awards, and is currently directing Messengers, a feature that follows conservative climate activists navigating partisan fault lines to advocate for environmental action. A former attorney and native Angeleno, she now lives in Lake Tahoe, where she runs the Bristlecone Film Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering a local film culture in the Sierra Nevada.

Dominic Gill | Director, Producer

Dominic Gill is an award-winning filmmaker, environmental biologist, and co-founder of Encompass Films. Known for blending adventure and advocacy, Dominic’s work explores the intersection of climate, community, and the natural world. He first gained recognition for his solo cycling journey documented in Take a Seat, which also became a National Outdoor Book Award–winning book. His films have been featured by Smithsonian, Netflix, The Los Angeles Times, and major environmental organizations such as The Redford Center. Dominic received an IDA Award nomination and won a Jackson Wild Award for his short film series Last Call for the Bayou. Most recently, his film Planetwalker was shortlisted for an Academy Award. With a background in biology and a deep commitment to environmental storytelling, Dominic brings both scientific insight and cinematic vision to his work.
